KID CREATIONS ART –
SUMMER 2013
Kid Creations Art is
centrally located on the dividing line of Brooksville and Spring Hill (50 and
Barclay). Becky Brooks holds a BFA in Art Education and is Florida certified to
teach K – 12. She is also the art teacher for Bridgepoint Preparatory in Tampa,
and has been teaching art for 15+ years. Classes are small and tailored to the
skill level and interests of the students enrolled. KID CREATIONS provides a
safe place for kids to explore and enjoy the arts!
SUMMER SCHEDULE:
All classes run from
10:30 – noon. All supplies are provided.
June 14: Burlap prints in the style of Margaret Burroughs,
using linoleum block printing technique. Ages 8 and up. $20
June 15: “Sound Sculpture” Students will use found objects
to create a moving sound sculpture in the style of Jean Tinguely. Ages 8 and
up. $20
June 21 and 22: Plaster animal masks. Students will use
plaster infused gauze to form an animal mask. This is a 2 part class. Class one
will be the making day and class two will be the decorating day. Ages 8 and up.

June 28 and July 12: CLAY. This is a 2 part class. Class one
will be the making day and class two will be the glazing day. Ages 8 and up.

June 29 and July 13: CLAY. This is a 2 part class. Class one
will be the making day and class two will be the glazing day. Ages 8 and up.

July 15 and 16: “Ribbons and Patterns” Students will use a
combination of colored pencils and black Sharpies to create a unique patterned
piece infused with a colorful twisted ribbon!
Ages 8 and up. $30
July 19: “All About Me!” Mixed media collage that is a
self-portrait! Students will combine meaningful images and words to create a
one of a kind collage that expresses who they are. Ages 8 and up. $20
July 20: Abstract Painting. Students will learn about
various aspects of the color wheel, as well as artists Robert Delaunay and
Mondrian as they create 2-3 separate abstract paintings. $20
