GIRL SCOUT CLASSES

Juniors can have fun and earn badges in the following areas by attending a KID CREATIONS workshop, taught by Becky Brooks, BFA in Art Education, and held at a location of your choice! Leaders please contact Becky directly arrange a class for your troop. Prices listed are per student and include all supplies except the badge (leaders must get these). A minimum of 6 students is required for a class to be a "go."

DRAWING & PAINTING: 3 Hr. workshop - $25
ART IN 3D: 3 Hr. workshop - $25
PRINTS & GRAPHICS: 3 Hr. workshop - $25
VISUAL ARTS: 3 Hr. workshop - $25
CERAMICS & CLAY: 4 Hr. workshop - $30
*NOTE: The Ceramics & Clay workshop is split into 2 classes, 2 weeks apart. The first class is the "making day" and will last 2 1/2 hours, and the second class is the glazing day, lasting 1 1/2 hours.

All kids must pre-pay for the class if they would like to attend. All payments are NON-REFUNDABLE, but they can be transferred to another child if need be. Payments can be made by check, or via Pay Pal.

DRAWING FOR BEGINNERS (ages 8 - 12ish)
Hosted by Doreen Gadow at her home in Spring Hill, this 4 week class will introduce kids to the basics of Drawing! DATES/TIME: March 7, 14, 21 and 28 from 10:30 - noon. Due to space restrictions we respectfully ask that only the student and/or parent stay during the class, no younger siblings please.
COST: $50/child for the 4 week session, all supplies included, $5 sibling discounts apply.

LEATHER MASK MAKING (ages 10 and up)
This class will be held from 2:00 - 5:00 pm on March 13th at the First Presbyterian Church in Brooksville. We will have a potluck dinner afterward for anyone who would like to attend, including all family members! Please bring a dish to share if you plan to come for the potluck. COST: $25/child, all supplies included, $5 sibling discounts apply.

ART HISTORY/FINE ARTS/WRITING FOR HIGH SCHOOLERS - COMING THIS FALL!
High school kids can earn credit in History, Fine Art and Writing by attending this class. Details are still in the works, but a tentative outline includes the study of Ancient/Medieval Art, The Renaissance, Baroque @ Rococo, Revolutionary Era and Modern Art. Kids will have weekly homework assignments as well as one major writing assignment, one major art project and several small art projects. Time frame will likely be 12 weeks beginning late August.
